LPG is a byproduct of natural gas processing and crude oil refining in refineries. It is colorless, odorless, and even tasteless at the time of production. For safety reasons, a substance called captan is added to it.
From a geometric perspective, liquid gas tanks come in cylindrical and spherical shapes. In terms of storage methods, they are categorized into fixed and transport types. Fixed tanks are classified into two types: aboveground and underground. Transport tanks, according to design and construction standards, are categorized into Cargo tanks, Fixed tanks, and ISO tanks.
The capacity of liquid gas tanks is typically up to 2,000 gallons for residential use and over 2,000 gallons for industrial use. They are used in areas without access to municipal gas or for emergency storage. In general, the applications of liquid gas include use in stoves in kitchens, heating appliances in homes and hotels, fuel for furnaces and burners in factories, ignition systems, gas turbines, secondary fuel and alternative to gasoline and diesel in vehicles, and more.
